Tips for renting a car in USA-extra cost and insurance

Despite having already written a post of tips for car rental in Miami, this one will address the issue of more costs involved (and many times, hidden!) and also about the controversy of the safe. Will be worth or not worth it? That only you can decide … Read below and book your cheap car rental in the United States without fear of being happy!
POSSIBLE EXTRA COSTS that MAY OCCUR (I put the translation also of titles to help you identify the terms in quotation sites and in future contracts with the video store) Remove the car in one location and return to another (Different pick-up/drop-off Locations) many hire companies will charge an extra fee if you withdraw the car in one location and return to another. If you remove in Florida and work return in California, for example, the cost can hit the home of the $ 1,000 .00, no kidding! Some stores don’t charge if you return in different branches, as long as it is within the same State.
Rent a car at the Airport (Airport fees) in order to work at the airport or in the vicinity, the stores need to pay fees to the State which are passed on, in part, to customers. These rates vary considerably from State to State, but generally revolve around 10% more than if you locasse in a place outside the airport.
Fails to comply with the 12:0 am (Late return) took the car on a Monday to return on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the clock! If mad at 9 in the morning, you will have until 9 a.m. the next day to return. Sometimes the stores give 1:0 the most, that is, you would have a maximum of 25 from the time that mad, to return the car. If you’re late plus it’s better to stay with the car for a few more hours, because you will be charged once per day anyway … return the car in advance (Early return).
What? If you return later, you pay … and before, too? That’s right? It is because the rental company booked the car to you for the whole period and now, with the car being returned before, she might not get another driver to use it and have some profit. Expect to pay around $ 10-$ 15 a day in advance to give back the car. And maybe there are other costs! An example: Let’s say I rented the car for a super special price, as it was for 1 week. If you return with 4 days you will lose the promotion that was only if rented for a week.
Mileage (Mileage) is right that most stores nowadays offers mileage/unlimited mileage, however in some promotions in which prices are exorbitantly low, pay close attention to the fine print of the contract because the girls/mileage unlimited mileage may not be included.
Licensing (License Fees) That not everyone knows, but in some u.s. States, it is customary for the rental charge of 3% to 8% of the final value of the account to cover licensing costs of their vehicles. It never hurts to ask.
Different prices according to the Agency (Different locations) even though the same stores, depending on the location, the rate can be different. The ideal is to quote by choosing different locations of the city of your choice and check out. But be warned: take into account also the convenience! Exit the airport by car is much more comfortable and can leave even cheaper than going by taxi to the video store with cheapest daily. Do a cost-benefit analysis.
High-season (Peak season) That everybody knows, right?! Rent a car in time for Christmas, new year or on holiday makes prices go up!
The issue of petrol (Filling-up for gas) you can often end up paying a high price to return the car with the tank empty or partially full. In most cases, the ideal is that you fill the tank before returning the vehicle. However, pay attention: most car rental companies offer (and try to push) the option to purchase a full tank of gas in advance, allowing you to return the car with the fuel at any level since the full tank extra will be paid.
Note that there is no refund for unused fuel and by choosing this option to pay for a full tank of gas in advance, you get even is the convenience of not having to fill up the tank, but it sure won’t be the most economical option.
